TMC and Client Airline Private Rates

Introduction

This topic instructs on how to configure TMC or Client Airline Private Rates.

Benefits

Configure Airline Private rates based customer negotiations.

Need to Know

  • Airline Private rates clone over from your template, as you create the site. You may need to make minor changes, such as changing to the client’s discount.

  • If availability is in question: This area may be configured incorrectly, or the rate may not have been filed correctly. Please make sure that the rate has also been filed with ITA.

Configuration

Where to Configure Airline Private Rates

  1. Select Private Rates on the Services tab.

  1. Select Airline Rates.

  1. Update either existing airline rates or add a new airline private rate.

    1. To update existing airline rates, select the rate from the list.

    2. To configure a new airline rates, select Add A New Airline Private Rates.

Update Existing Airline Private Rate

  1. Select Airline Private Rate you would like to update.

  1. Make applicable changes and select Save.

Adding New Airline Private Rate

  1. Select Add A New Airline Private Rate.

  2. To activate private rate, select box to the left of Activate this private rate.

  3. Enter Private Rate Name: Example: United Private Rate.

  4. Enter the effective date range for this rate record: Not necessary to enter unless you have a specific start and end date you would like to have the rate start and end. Otherwise, you can leave blank and have the rate active until you manually remove it.

  5. Apply this private rate on discounted itineraries: Check if you are allowed to apply to already discounted itineraries.

  6. Select an airline to apply this private rate: Select Carrier from Drop-down menu, which the rate applies to.

  7. Select one or more airlines whose fares are combinable with this discount: To select more than one carrier, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and select each carrier from the list.

  8. Select one or more airlines whose fares are not-combinable with this discount: You can leave this box alone.

  1. Origin, Destination and Connection Parameters: You can bypass this entire section, as Deem detect if the rate can be applied to each parameter and will apply appropriately.

  1. Schedule Parameters: You can bypass this entire section, as Deem detect if the rate can be applied in each parameter and will apply appropriately.

  1. Flight Number and Operational Parameters: You can bypass this entire section, as Deem detect if the rate can be applied in each parameter and will apply appropriately.

  1. Other Parameters: You can bypass this entire section, as Deem detect if the rate can be applied in each parameter and will apply appropriately.

  1. Private Rate Contract Value: You can bypass this entire section, as Deem detect if the rate can be applied in each parameter and will apply appropriately.

  1. Private Rate Booking and Ticketing Parameters:

    1. Enter GDS negotiated rate code:

      • Select box to the left of Use this rate code instead of the rate code in agency configuration: This code overrides the rate code in the agency configuration. For details on the agency configuration for negotiated airline fares, see "Travel Settings and Negotiated Rates" in Agency Settings

      • Rate code: Enter negotiated private rate.

    2. Enter GDS passenger type:

      • Passenger type: You can leave blank as ADT is assumed.

  2. Select Save.

Adding or Updating Airline Private Rate Set

  1. Select Private Rates on the Services tab.

  1. Select Airline Rate Sets.

  1. Configure a new airline rate set or update an existing set:

Add a new airline rate set

  1. Select Add A New Airline Rate.

  2. Enter Private Rate Set Name: Example, VIP Air Private Rates.

  3. Select Add Rates.

  4. Select the radio button to the left of the rate you would like to add to the set.

  5. Select Ok & Add Another and repeat until you have added all rates.

  6. Once all rates have been added, select Done.

  7. Select Save.

Update an existing airline set:

  1. Access Airline private rate sets as shown above and select set name.

  1. Make needed updates and select Save.

The final step is to ensure that you have updated Service Rules.

Update Service Rules

Ensure you have applied Air Private Rate Sets to the appropriate Service Rules.

Click Service Rules for more information.

Test

Test to ensure rates are applied properly for each group.
