Overview

This guide explains one way to starting a new site. You may find other ways of configuring sites that works better for you.

Step 1: Create the site

Create the client site as soon as you know you have the contract with the client. You do not need to configure right away. You can configure the site as you gather client information.

You can create a site from the ground up or you can clone an existing site, which copies many of the services from your template site. Therefore, the more robust your template site is, the less you will need to configure. Refer to Implementation Guide for a list of information that is required for a new site.

Several services require assistance from Deem to configure, such as SSO, HR Feed, and Open Expense. Create the site right away, and then submit a Statement of Work to get the ball rolling.

  1. Click here for detailed instructions on how to submit your request.

Step 2: Gather client information

Gather information from the client. At any point, you can start configuring the site, even if you do not have all of the information.

Note: Your client may not need all services.

Refer to Implementation Guide for a list of minimum information that must be entered or validated.

It is especially important to identify how many groups the client needs based on what one set of employees can see over another (for example, VIP, Executive, Guest, Default).
Note: If the site was cloned, the groups in the template are copied into the new site. There is no limit to the number of groups you can create. Groups can be based on a variety of factors, such as travel policy, display policy, and payment options.

Step 3: Configure the site

Refer to the Configure the new site section of the Implementation guide. This guide provides the minimum information required for a site, as well as links to other information that should be verified.

Important: Each service will have a list and set, allowing you the ability to add to each group’s Travel Service Rule. Click link for further information Lists, Sets and Rules.
