Need to Know

  • These setting clone from site used during the cloning process.

  • During the implementation process Deem assisted with customizing and programming the messaging within the emails. Please open a Deem Support Case if you do not understand the coding and need to make a change.

Email Settings

  1. From the Partner Dashboard home page, select Settings in the Edit Site column for the site that needs updating.

  2. On the Settings tab, select Email Settings.

  3. Enter the site URL in Application URL for end user. The Application URL for administrator field automatically populates from the end user URL.

If a client has SSO, enter the end user and administrator site URLs that they use as their access point to Deem, such as the client Intranet, HUB, etc.
Both the end user and administration URL are the same and can be found by selecting Name on the Partner Dashboard homepage under the Edit Site column.

Update the From email address

  1. Enter the name to display who the email is from in From email display.

  2. In From email address, enter the desired email address to display in the from box.

Note: Some email servers may see customized From fields as spoofing and may reject or delay the emails. If you have reports of users not receiving their email, it may be due to these fields being customized.

Customize email subject line and body

  1. Customize the subject line for the following emails: Registration, Activation, Reminder, and Password reset. This step is not necessary if SSO is enabled.

  2. Customize the message for various emails such as password reset, although you typically will not change from what you have in your template. Complete both the HTML and Text customizations for any of the following email messages:

    • End User Activation E-Mail Definition (HTML): For users whose profile information was uploaded through a user profile load.

    • End User Reminder E-Mail Definition (HTML): The reminder email a user receives if the user is activated and has not used the application.

    • End User Account Password Reset E-Mail Definition (HTML): The email a user receives upon account password reset.

    • Administrator Reminder E-Mail Definition (HTML): The reminder email an administrator receives if the user has been activated and has not used the application.

  3. Select Save. The Settings overview page displays.
