 Follow this step-by-step guide to set up travel alerts or restricted the ability to book to a specific country or countries.

  • Does not Clone over from site/template used to create new site

  • Configure both travel alerts and restricted countries under Restricted Countries

  • Configure both travel alerts and restricted country based on group requirements.  

Example: Default group, restricted from traveling to specific countries from that of the VIP group. But both groups will have access to the same travel alerts.  

  • You can configure more then one Travel Alert per group 

Example: Require Visa when traveling to China, and high risk travel warning in Mexico

Configuration Steps

Create List

Create each travel alerts and restricted counties following the steps below. 

  • Click Services tab

  • Click Restricted Countries

  • Click Restricted Countries Configuration List

  • Click Add Restricted Countries Configuration

  • Name: Enter Name of List

  • Click country listed under Countries List

  • Click Add

    • Country will be added to Selected Countries

Note: You can add one or more countries to the Selected Countries

  • Select Restricted or Travel Advisor

  • Message to traveler: Enter message which will be display to traveler

  • Click Save

Add to Set

Now you will need to add to the Set, which will allow you to add to the appropriate Travel Service Rules

  • Click Back to Restricted Countries Configuration Management

  • Click Restricted Countries Configuration Sets

  • Click Add Restricted Countries Configuration Set

  • Set Name: Be sure to be specific with your naming convention, especially if you have more then one set.  In this case I am applying the Restricted Countries to all groups

  • Click Add Restricted Countries

  • Select check box to the right of the list you would like to add to the set

  • Click Add

  • Click Save

Example: Set including both Travel Alerts as well as Restricted Countries

Final Steps

  • Travel Service Rules: Insure you have applied the set to the appropriate group

  • Commit Changes

  • Test to verify your configuration is working as you intended
