Reactivate User Account

How to Reactivate User Account

The below steps will walk you through reactivating a user account

  • Click Users Tab

  • Click Single User Activation

Enter search criteria for account

  • Select Basic Search or Advanced Search

    • Advanced Search: Allows you further profile fields to search from

  • First Name:

  • Last Name:

  • User Name:

  • Email:

  • Employee ID:

  • Account Type:

    • End User: User profiles

    • Support::User profiles designated as support

  • User Status:

    • Show only manually added users

    • Show only inactive users

  • Helpful Hint:  You can use one or more of the search fields above. Due to the many ways to spell a first or last name you can actually search for partial names. Few examples below

    • First initial of first name and first initial of last name

    • Partial first name

    • Partial last name as in example in below screenshot. I am searching for the last name Never but searching only by Nev. The system will present any last name starting with Nev.

    • Partial email address

  • Show only manually added users:  Narrows search to only manually created users

  • Show only inactive Users: Narrows search to only inactive accounts

    • If you know there are fewer than 200 user accounts you can leave all search options blank and click search

Note: In this example we are looking to reactivate a deactivated account, therefore we are searching for only accounts that are not active.

  • Click Search

  • Select User account/accounts to be reactivated

  • Click Add to the left of the user account

  • User account will move down to Selected Results

  • You can continue to search for further accounts and add to the Selected Results section

  • Click Continue

  • Password Options:

    • Have system generate random password:  System will generate an activation email, and will force the client to reset their password upon their initial login

    • Pre-defined password for user:  You can select this option if you would like to define the password for the user.  You will need to provide the password to the user.

    • Force user to change password on first login: It is recommended to check this box if you are manually setting the password for the user.

Note:  System generated passwords are recommended for security. Unfortunately you may have users that are having difficulties logging in and are becoming frustrated.  Therefore you have the option of Predefining a password. Predefined passwords can also be used when creating test accounts.

  • Click Activate Now
