Benefits

  • Sync profiles to your Agency GDS.

  • Customizable to client/agency needs.

Need To Know

  • Profile sync group limitation on Superdomain: 50 domains/sites per profile sync group.

  • Open a DEEM Support Case to request a login if you do not already have one.

  • ETSI Website

  • Access to run Success and Error Profile Sync Reports.

  • During your company’s initial implementation, Deem will create a profile template with you. As new clients come onboard you can clone the template, and customize lines as needed.

Links and Terms to Know

Set up Web Services

Superdomain: Add Site to Web Services Group 

During the initial implementation Deem will work with you to set up Web Services on the Superdomain if you will be using one profile map for all accounts and no GDS profile writeback. As new client sites are configured you will need to assign the new client site to the appropriate Web Services Group.

  • On the Homepage of the Deem Partner Dashboard/Console, select the Groups tab.

  • Select the group name

Note : Depending on the number of client sites you have, you may have more than one web service for profile sync. As there is a limit of no more than 50 domains/sites per group. If you are close to reaching this number you will need to open a case to have a new Web Services group created for you.

  • Select domain/site from those listed under Domains not in Group.

  • Select Add.

  • Site/Domain will move over to Domains in Group.

  • Select Save.

The site has been added to Web Services.

  • Commit Changes.

Assign Web Services Group within Site

Access client’s site

  • On the Rules tab, select Web Services Rules.

  • Select on Add under Profile Pull Web Services

  • Select Active Rule, box must be checked.

  • Select check box to the left of Enable Web Services using the following configuration sets:

  • Select Web Services from the drop-down menu and Save.

  • Rule will show green when active

  • Click on Save Priority Changes

  • Commit changes.

Individual Web Services: 

During the initial implementation Deem will work with you to set up Individual Web Services on the site level if you will have a need for multiple profile maps or you are going to enable GDS profile writeback. This will be added to your template and will clone over to all new sites.

Configure ETSI Profile Mapping, click link to access ETSI Website.

Note: You may have more than one mapping for each client. For example, if you have a different company profile for VIP and all other travelers, or you have one site with multiple PCCs. You will need to open a Deem Support Case if you need more than one Web Services.

  • Select Add New Account.

  • Account Name:  Enter the account name using the following format: Agency - Customer Name.

    • Example: XYZ Travel – Acme Incorporated

  • Domain: Enter client Site ID.

  • GDS: Select GDS from list.

  • TMC: Select TMC from list.

  • Map Template:  Select the appropriate map template.

Note: Profiles lines will move over from template, you may only need to make minor updates, based on customer needs.

  • Level 2 Name:  Select the appropriate profile naming convention.

  • Superdomain: Select the Superdomain web service subscription assigned to the account.

  • Enabled: Set this to True after configuration is complete to enable the account.

  • Remote IPCC: Enter PCC.

  • Sync Only if Different: When set, profiles will only synchronized to the GDS if data has changed since the last time the profile was synchronized to the GDS

  • Account Purge Enabled: Select one of the following:

    • False: Profiles will not be purged if deactivated in Deem.

    • True:  Profiles will be purged if account status has been changed to D.

    • First Rename: Profile will be purged if account status has been changed to D but will be renamed first.

Note: Profiles lines will move over from template, you may only need to make minor updates, based on customer needs.

  • See Individual Web Service Credential configuration below.

  • Select Add

  • Bring profile mapping back up to complete the programming

  • Move down to SVC.

  • SVC IPCC: SVC PCC.

  • SVC Sign-in: Enter SVC Sign in.

  • SVC Password: Enter SVC Password.

  • Remote IPCC: Enter Remote PCC.

  • Level1Star: Enter first level profile name.

  • Select Save.

  • When you are ready to test you will Enable the mapping.

    • Select Edit.

  • Select True from Enabled drop-down menu.

Configure Profile Lines

Time to customize based on your customer’s needs.

Example: Add profile reporting field(s), which is not configured in your template

Links to understand:

  • Edit:  Enable/Disable mapping, change PCC, etc.

  • View Profile Lines:  View and edit profile lines.

  • Multi Line Clone:  Enables the ability to clone an individual or multiple lines from one profile mapping to another.

Modifying Profile Lines

  • Edit:  Enable/Disable mapping, change PCC, etc.

  • View Line Items: Select to view or edit individual line item.

  • Add Line Item: Select to add a line item.

Edit

  • Change Field Name / Line Name:

  • Change Line Number: 

  • Add Line Modifier: Modifiers are used to drive GDS formats for Sabre and Apollo.

  • Sabre Node: Defines the line type.

View Line Items

  • View line items that make up the individual profile line. 

Note: There are times where only one line item is needed to complete the profile line; Such as a reporting field, where as a phone field may require multiple line items.

First example: Is a single line item

Second example:  is a multiple line item. Each line is customizable to each client.

  • Select Edit to modify line.

  • Path: XML tag (available at the top of this article) or node.

  • Prefix: Information entered before the path.

  • Suffix: Information entered after the path.

  • Function: Select Parsing function.

  • Function Type: Select function type associated with function selected above.

  • Only If:  Allows you to write field only if data is available.

  • Find: Allows you to find profile data and replace it with the below feature.

  • Replace: Allows you to replace profile field data.

Example: VIP profile output enter by the Deem system as true, but you can change the value to output as VIP.

  • Lookup: pre-programmed commands.

Example line:

Save any changes and test.

Test

Now it is time to test profile sync.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the web service is established.

    • Site is assigned to the proper domain group by the super-domain administrator or Deem.

      • Open a Deem support case if there is a problem.

    • Changes have been committed at the super-domain level by the super-domain administrator or Deem.

      • Enter a support case if there is a problem.

    • Ensure that the web services rules are enabled to the proper group.

  • Check for site name consistency.

    • Site name matches the site short name used by Deem support.

  • Use the prefix and suffix fields to link data with hard-coded global distribution system (GDS) formats.

  • Ensure your Path in each profile line item is cased properly.

    • Upper and lower case characters.

Note:  Improper casing will result in data not populating to the GDS.

Example Error Report:

  • Under Error Report, select company name from list.

Example Success Report:

  • Under Success Report, select company name from list, and enter date range.

Note: You can search by user name.
