Launching Deem Car Service - Sabre Red App

Make sure you have an active passenger name record (PNR) in your Sabre Red workspace before launching the Deem Car Service Red App.

If your agency's administrator has already granted you access and deployed the Red App to your desktop, you can hover your pointer over the Car & Ground choice in the Tools menu, and choose Deem Ground App:

Note: If you don't see the app, please speak to your agency's administrator. See Administering Deem Car Service - Sabre Red App for information about activating Deem Ground Red App and designating users and desktops to use it.

Tip: The Red App draws from the most recent PNR you opened on the left side in the Sabre Red workspace. If you want to use the PNR under the Area A tab, but you click the Area B tab to open its PNR before switching to the Red App, the Red App will use the PNR in Area B. You must first click the appropriate Area tab for the right PNR, and then open or switch to the Red App.

Launching the Deem Car Service Red App opens a new tab in the Sabre Red workspace. After launching it for the first time, the Red App gives you the opportunity to confirm or change the information in your user account:

If you make changes your account information, click Save to save your changes.

The Sabre Travel Network assigns a unique alphanumeric security code called the Pseudo City Code (PCC) that identifies your agency within the Sabre system. In addition, your Travel Journal Record (TJR) controls what your agency can do in the Sabre system. The system uses your PCC to create your TJR, which contains information such as your agency name, address, default language, telephone number, and IATA number along with any options you have activated.

The first time you launch the Red App, the application makes a call to access the TJR for your PCC. Your administrator should have already provided your profile to Deem, so that your profile automatically loads into the Red App.

If you don't see your IATA and Sabre PCC fields already populated, you may have launched the app without logging into Sabre first. Your agent info is required to determine how commissions are recognised by the merchant/provider.
