Uploading Rates into Deem

Click Upload Rates. The Upload Rates screen appears:

Make sure the file is saved in Microsoft Excel 2007 or above 'XLSX' file format.

Follow these steps:

  1. Choose the template format that corresponds with file type you have generated and prepared for upload.
    • Rate Matrix: Choose this format if you chose a rate matrix template for your rate file. Then choose the required vehicle type in the Vehicle Type drop-down menu for the rates. You can upload the file as many times as you need for different vehicle types without having to re-edit your rate file.
    • Point to Point: Choose this format if you chose a point-to-point template for your rate file.
  2. If the rates are specific for a client, choose the Deem Car Service preferred provider in the Associated Company drop-down menu to associate with the rates; otherwise, choose RETAIL.

  3. Set the currency type in the Currency drop-down menu for the rate prices (U.S. dollars are set by default).
  4. Click the Choose File button and select the rate file on your computer.
  5. (Optional) Click to check the "Create reverse rates for all the records in the file" box if you need the system to automatically create reverse rate records based on the contents of the rate file.
Note: Both forward and reverse rates use the same values in the rate file.
  6. Click to check the "I certify that these rates are all inclusive" box. All rate pricing must be all inclusive, except for variable charges incurred during services such as wait charges, stop charges, parking, tolls, and taxes.
  7. Click Upload to upload your rate file.

Rates loaded will be in a queue for processing. It usually takes a few minutes to process, but may take up to a few hours if there are many others utilizing the system concurrently. Once the upload is complete, a message appears with a link to the Rate Upload History page. See Rate Upload History for details.
