Deem 2017.2.1 (Minor) Release Executive Summary

Deem continues to improve our site administrator and agency experiences with key travel site enhancements that help corporations and TMCs manage the travel buying process.

About the Release Notes

The Deem release notes provide useful technical information about the latest release. For each release, the notes provide:

Travel 2017.2.1 Improvements for New Work Force Only (June 7, 2017)


Update to the Hotel Search Field 

  • Description: The hotel search field is now updated to include helper text for search options such as;  Address, Airport, City, Hotel and Reference Point.
  • Benefit: This improvement provides more helpful information regarding the search options that are available to a traveler.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No configuration needed.

Car Service Integration Policy Update

  • Description: The integration of Car Service into Deem Work Fource now fully supports all Car Service policy options in the travel booking workflow. 
    For example: When a corporate policy application is in place, site admins have the option to require travelers to explain the out of policy booking.
  • Benefit: This improvement provides site admins better control over vendor management and provides more adherence to corporate policy.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No configuration needed. 

Seat Map Status Improvement

  • Description: Travelers will now see seat confirmation status once a trip is purchased as either "confirmed" or "unconfirmed", based on the traveler's requested seats. 
  • Benefit: This improvement provides more helpful information regarding the status of requested seat once a trip is purchased.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No configuration needed. 

Segment Service Status Icons added to the Trip Details Page

  • Description: New status icons are now available on the Trip Details page. When a traveler hovers over the icon, the status of service displays such as "confirmed", "pending" and "cancelled". 
  • Benefit: This feature provides user awareness and visibility into each of the booked segments.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No configuration needed.

Updated Hotel Result Messaging 

  • Description: We have now updated the hotel results display to clearly indicate when a traveler is required to take additional actions to populate rates. Now properties will display "Select for rates" instead of "Rate Unavailable" when the individual rates are not shown.  
  • Benefit: The updated messaging allows the travelers to continue through the hotel booking.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No configuration needed.
