Deem Enhancements for 2019.2.0 Executive Summary

Deem continues to improve our site administrator and agency experiences with key enhancements that help corporations and TMCs manage the travel buying process.

About the Release Notes

The Deem release notes provide useful technical information about the latest release. For each release, the notes provide:

  • A high-level description of the release, including major changes and enhancements.
  • Instructions to help you get started with set-up and administration (when applicable).

Enhancements for 2019.2.0 (July 2019)

Improved lower cost flight recommendation engine 

  • Description: The title displayed within the notification of a non-compliant policy selection previously stated, "Your trip is not compliant with your organization's travel guidelines". The new title dynamically adjusts based on the company name identified within each site's Domain Configuration. For example, Deem's non-compliant policy message now states, "Your trip is not compliant with Deem's travel guidelines".
  • Benefit: Dynamically displaying the title based on the site company name reduces confusion for users that are not employees of the site company, such as prospective employees. 
  • Site Admin Experience:  No site admin experience is required.

Australia Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) time zone added

  • Description: Australian Eastern Daylight Time has been added to the Configuration Dashboard where time zone options are offered as a selection.
  • Benefit: During the summary, Australia is divided into additional time zones due to daylight summer time. Deem now supports this option.  
  • Site Admin Experience:  No site admin experience is required.

Scoot Airlines now available as ancillary airline option

  • Description: Scoot Airlines (Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd) is now available as an ancillary airfare option in the Configuration Dashboard.
  • Benefit: Scoot is a Singaporean low-cost airline owned by Singapore Airlines, offering flights to Asia Pacific destinations.
  • Site Admin Experience:  Scoot configuration requires site admin experience. If you require assistance or training in this area, please contact Deem Support.

Site card configuration includes car rental and car service

  • Description: Users are now able to specify a site card as the form of payment for ground transportation. This includes Rental Car and Car Service transactions. Available as an option in User Profile and on the purchase page.
  • Benefit: Users with direct bill arrangements with Car Rental providers can now use a site card. Also available for Car Service transactions.

Latency issues accessing Deem through Single Sign-On (SSO)

Issue: Customers were experiencing slow page load times and overall latency when accessing the Deem site through SSO. The root cause was identified and this issue has been resolved.

Hotel room error message incorrectly displaying room as sold out

Issue: Selecting a hotel room from the search results page was intermittently incorrectly displaying the following message, "Selected room no longer available. Please select a different room.".  This issue has been resolved and the message will only display in cases where there is no longer availability.

Hotel membership issue on Deem Mobile App bookings

Issue: Hotel frequent guest number was not being transmitted through to the hotel property on bookings completed from the Deem Mobile App.  This issue has now been resolved.

Airline carriers filter not displaying selected checkbox

Issue: The Airlines filter on the airfare search results page was incorrectly displaying the selected carriers. With selection of more than one carrier, although all carriers would be included in the results, only the first carrier selected was being displayed as checked. This issue has been resolved and all applicable carriers will display the checkbox as selected.

Placeholder: Pre-trip approval notification recipient issue

Issue: There was a mismatch between auto cancelled and pretrip approver boolean flags so the incorrect person was being assigned from the profile value. This has been corrected.

Issue: The application was not returning a complete list of delegates. This has been corrected.
