CLID Overview

As part of NDC configuration a TMC or Customer can add their airlines CLID number for use with NDC bookings.

  • CLID number is used by carriers to track bookings and usage for company level loyalty programs

    • Ex. AA AAdvantage Business program requires CLID number to be included in NDC orders to count towards volume

  • Dashboard configuration is available to store CLID number for customer or the TMC if applicable

    • Only one CLID can be applied per NDC booking

    • TMC CLID will only be applied if no customer CLID is configured

  • Sabre NDC:

    • CLID is automatically applied to NDC order creation (neutral or deferred)

    • CLID is available to be added for GDS PNR if configured in PNR Edits

  • Travelport + NDC

    • CLID is automatically sent in NDC air search

    • At this time, it does not affect pricing - that may change in the future

    • CLID is automatically applied to NDC order creation (neutral or deferred)

PNR Edits (Custom PNR)

  • PNR Edits / PNR XML to be applied to NDC Deferred ticketing order.

  • If a TAW line PNR Edit is configured, it will overwrite the ticketing time limit passed to the PNR. TAW line can be configured specific to Deferred ticking carriers.

  • PNR XML fields – If you need assistance with creating a script(s) for PNR Edits, please open a Deem Support Case.

    • NDC Order

Test

Test to verify the retrieval of NDC fares and ensure they are matched with the NDC flight badge rate. Confirm that PNR Edits are accurately transmitting to the PNR. During testing of Deferred ticketing, completing the purchase is permissible since it does not involve instant ticketing. However, it is not recommended to finalize a purchase when set to Neutral ticketing, as it constitutes an instant purchase booking.
