Benefits

Need To Know

  • 50 domains per domain group

  • The profile database is queried every 15 minutes for update requests

  • Open a DEEM Support Case to request a login if you do not already have one

  • You have the ability to run Success and Error Profile Sync Reports

  • During your company’s initial implementation, Deem will create a profile template with you.  As new clients come onboard you can clone the template, and customize lines as needed.

Set up Web Services

Add Site to Web Services Group

You will first need to add your client’s site to the appropriate Web Services Group. During the initial implementation Deem will work with you to create your Web Services.  

  • Access Deem Dashboard

  • Click on the Groups tab at the top of the home screen

  • Click the group name, you would like to assign your site to

    • Note : There may be more than one group for web services and/or other functions

  • Find the site in the right hand box

  • Click on the site, the site will be highlighted

  • Click on Add between the two boxes

  • Site will move to the box on the left, click on Save

  • The site has been added to Web Services

    • Note: You can have up to 50 sites within each Web Services group. If you are close to reaching this number you will need to open a case to have a new Web Services group created for you.

Assign Web Services Group within Site

Access clients site

  • Click on Rules tab

  • Click on Web Services Rules

  • Click on Add  under Profile Pull Web Services

  • Click on Active Rule

  • Check box to the left of Enable Web Services using the following configuration sets:

  • Select Web Services from drop-down menu

  • Click on Save

  • Rule will show green when active

  • Click on Save Priority Changes

  • Click on changes not applied, located in the upper right hand corner of the screen

Each client will need a profile mapping configured

Note: You may have more than one mapping for each client. For example, if you have a different company profile for VIP and all other travelers, or you have one site with multiple PCCs.

  • Click on Add New Account

  • Account Name:  Enter the account name using the following format: Agency - Customer Name  

    • Example: XYZ Travel – Acme Incorporated

  • Enabled: Set this to True after configuration is complete to enable the account

  • Login: leave as Login

  • Password: Enter password

  • Confirm Password: Enter password box and confirm

  • Domain: Enter Site ID

  • Remove Commands: Should be set to your agency

    • Note: For SABRE Accounts only

  • Remote IPCC: Enter PCC

  • Sync Only if Different: When set, profiles will only sync to the GDS if data has changed since the last time the profile was synched to the GDS

  • TMC: Select TMC from list

  • Superdomain: Select the superdomain web service subscription assigned to the account

  • Account Purge Enabled: Select one of the following:

    • False: Profiles will not be purged if deactivated in Deem

    • True:  Profiles will be purged if account status has been changed to D

    • First Rename: Profile will be purged if account status has been changed to D, but will be renamed first

  • Map Template:  Select the appropriate map template

  • Level 2 Name:  Select the appropriate profile naming convention from drop-down

  • Click Add

  • Bring profile mapping back up to complete the programming

  • Move down to SVC

  • SVC Sign-in: Enter SVC Sign in

  • SVC Password: Enter SVC Password

  • SVC IPCC: SVC PCC

  • Remote IPCC: Enter Remote PCC

  • Pseudocity: Enter Pseudo City

  • Level1Star: Enter first level profile name

  • Click on Save

  • When you are ready to test you will Enable the mapping

    • Click on Edit

  • Select True from Enabled drop-down menu

Configure Profile Lines

While a template is used to configure each profile mapping, you have the ability to customize for each client

Example: Need to add custom profile reporting field, which is not programmed in your template

  • Multi Line Clone:  Enables the ability to clone an individual or multiple lines from one profile mapping to another

Modifying Profile Lines

  • Edit:  Enable/Disable mapping, change PCC, etc.

  • View Line Items: Click to view or edit individual line item

  • Add Line Item: Click to add line item

  • Change Field Name / Line Name

  • Change Line Number

  • Add Line Modifier: Modifiers are used to drive GDS formats for Sabre and Apollo

  • Sabre Node:  Defines the line type

View Line Items

  • View line items that make up the individual line

    • Note: You can program from one to many items in one line.  First example is a single line item, and the second example  is a multiple line item. Each line is customizable to each client.

  • Click on Edit to modify line

  • Path: XML tag (available at the top of this article) or node 

  • Prefix: information entered before the path

  • Suffix: Information entered after the path

  • Function: Select Parsing function

  • Function Type: Select function type associated with function selected above

  • Only If:  Allows you to write field only if data is available

  • Find: Allows you to find a profile data and replace it with the below feature

  • Replace: Allows you to replace profile field data 

    • Example below VIP profile data is true in Deem but you may want to write the field as VIP

  • Lookup: pre-programmed commands

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the web service is established

    • Site is assigned to the proper domain group by the super-domain administrator or Deem

      • Open a Deem support case if there is a problem

    • Changes have been committed at the super-domain level by the super-domain administrator or Deem

      • Enter a support case if there is a problem

    • Ensure that the web services rules are enabled to the proper group

  • Check for site name consistency

    • Site name matches the site short name used by Deem support

  • Use the prefix and suffix fields to link data with hard-coded global distribution system (GDS) formats

  • Ensure your Path in each profile line item is cased properly

    • Upper and lower case characters

      • Note:  Improper casing will result in data not populating to the GDS
