The Deem release notes provide useful technical information about the latest release. For each release, the notes provide:

Sabre Red App: Manual City Code Management 

Description: City code is exposed for visual verification and manual override.

Benefit: Agent can see and verify the city code associated with selected segment is correct. If the agent would like enter a more relevant city code he/she can edit the defaulted code and save a modified code to the segment. This update allows agents to ensure ground segments have the most relevant city code assigned to them.

Booking Agent Experience: When an agent selects a PNR segment for ground the city code associated with the location will appear in the Red App UI. The agent can choose to use the default code or modify the code. If the city code is modified, the updated code will be saved on the ground segment. Updated codes are validated for three alpha characters. The city code can be modified when the ground segment is first created and when the pick up location is changed.

Car Service Provider Experience: No changes.




Sabre Red App: Enhanced City Code Handling 

Description: The city code reference database is updated.

Benefit: Fewer reservations will requiring city code modifications and agent reservation handling time will be improved.

Booking Agent Experience: Fewer reservation will require modification.

Car Service Provider Experience: No changes.




Sabre Red App: Improved Airport Latitude and Longitude Assignment  

Description: The airport database is updated with improved lat/long assignments for airport locations.

Benefit: The More accurate location assignment will improve the  mileage calculations for reservations and deliver more accurate pricing when rate shopping.

Booking Agent Experience:  Rate shop pricing will be more accurate.

Car Service Provider Experience: Reservations will contain more accurate location information and support improved ride duration estimates and pricing.




Sabre Red App: Structured Pick-up Instructions 

Description: The reservation Pick-up Instructions option include a structured list of options agents can select from, in addition to the option to enter custom instructions.

Benefit: Selecting an option from the structured list ensures provider reservation flags are correctly set so the reservation includes relevant fees and is correctly serviced.

Booking Agent Experience: A new option for “Pick-up Instructions” is available for agents to select. Selecting the new option a menu of pick-up options that correctly set provider service flags. Custom instruction are still available via the “Special Instructions” link.

Car Service Provider Experience: No changes.



Sabre Red App: Bug Fix - Incorrect Address Re-write 

Description: Fixed scenario where valid addresses pulled from the PNR were getting modified during the Google geocoding process. The correct address pulled from PNR is now be stored on the reservation.

Booking Agent Experience: For addresses that were previously getting modified during geocoding, the correct address should persist and allow agents to create reservation with the intended address.

Car Service Provider Experience: Reservation will have the desired, accurate location addresses. 



GetThere: Bug Fix - Segment Write-back Error

Description: Reservations with accounting code data in excess of 60 characters were causing writeback errors. Field data in excess of 60 characters is now correctly parsed and segments successfully writeback.

Booking Agent Experience:  Reduced writeback errors.

Car Service Provider Experience: No changes.
