HOW TO LEVERAGE DEEM’S WORK FOURCE PLATFORM TO SUPPORT RE-ENGAGING IN TRAVEL POST-COVID

 

Policy

Q: Can a site be configured to limit booking to specific types of travel?

A: Yes, each type of travel service can be enabled and disabled in the configuration dashboard. This means that a site can be configured to restrict search and booking on one or more of flights, hotels, rail, and car rentals.

Q: Is it possible to block all international travel but keep domestic travel bookable? 

A: Yes, sites can be configured to display a message if a user attempts to book an international flight. 

There are multiple options to use within Deem. Some examples include configuring restricted countries to block travel or display a warning, as well as leveraging policy to trigger reason codes for traveler justification.

Q: Is it possible to block all international travel with certain exceptions?

A: Yes, Deem can be configured to limit users to specific markets. The configuration can be defined on the basis of countries. E.g., users in a specific group can travel between US, Canada, and Mexico, but Guatemala is restricted.

Q: Can we block domestic travel in some countries and keep it open in others? 

A: Yes, Deem’s restricted countries feature can be configured to limit travel except within, or between, specific countries.

Q: Can we customize pre-trip approval based on destination?

A: Yes, Deem's pre-trip approval can be configured for specific types of bookings using highly customized scripting.

Unused Tickets

Q: Can I upload unused tickets to specific users?

A: Yes, Deem’s unused ticket upload allows up to 10 unused tickets per user.

Q: Can I change the name on an unused ticket so that it can be applied to a different traveler?

A: Yes, you can use the Guest Traveler feature and upload unused tickets directly to new users. The application will store the PQR and allow the agency to append any waiver codes needed to the endorsements line in the ticket drive stream.

Q: Will Deem be updating existing unused tickets to account for new airline expiration dates and penalties?

A: Yes, Deem will be running a data update for all expiration dates on unused tickets. The penalty fees may continue to be displayed to the user; however, the user will not be charged during the exchange.

Custom User Messages

Q: Can I display custom messages to my users to inform them of new travel policies, restrictions, instructions, etc?

A: Yes, Deem’s Dynamic Site Messaging (DSM) can be used to configure your own custom messages on any page of the site and within email communications.

Q: Can I configure messages at the partner level to be shown across all of my sites?

A: Yes, global agency messages can be configured for display on all sites.
