About the Release Notes

The Deem release notes provide useful technical information about the latest release. For each release, the notes provide:

  • A high-level description of the release, including major changes and enhancements.
  • Instructions to help you get started with set-up and administration (when applicable).

Enhancements for 2019.2.0 (July 2019)

Improved lower cost flight recommendation engine

  • Description: Users that have selected an out-of-policy flight, or a flight that is not the lowest cost option, will be presented with an improved and refined recommendation list for selection. 
  • Benefit: The recommended flight options will more closely match the users selected itinerary while considering company policy and preferences. The number of flights presented have been increased from five up to a maximum of ten options.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No site admin experience is required.

Company based non-compliant policy message 

  • Description: Users that have selected an out-of-policy flight are presented with a non-compliance message. The message previously stated, "Your trip is not compliant with your organization's travel guidelines". This message has been updated to include the company name as defined within each site's Domain Configuration. For example, Deem's non-compliant policy message now states, "Your trip is not compliant with the travel guidelines for Deem".
  • Benefit: Dynamically displaying the message based on the company name reduces confusion for users that are not employees of the company, such as prospective employees. 
  • Site Admin Experience:  No site admin experience is required.

Australia Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) Now Available

  • Description:Australia Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) was missing from the list of optional time zones.
  • Benefit: AEDT is now available in the list of optional time zones in Display Settings 
  • Site Admin Experience:  No site admin experience is required.

Scoot Airlines now available as an ancillary airline option

  • Description: Scoot Airlines (Scoot Tigerair Pte Ltd) is now available as an ancillary airline option in the Configuration Dashboard. 
  • Benefit: Users now have access to additional low-cost carrier flight options. 
  • Site Admin Experience:  The addition of each TravelFusion low cost carrier content requires Site Admin configuration.

Site card configuration includes car rental and car service

  • Description: Users are now able to specify a site card as the form of payment for Car Rental and Car Service transactions. Available as an option in User Profile and on the Purchase page.
  • Benefit: Users with direct bill arrangements with Car Rental providers can now use a site card. Also available for Car Service transactions.
  • Site Admin Experience:  No site admin experience is required.

Bug Fixes in the 2019.2.0 Release


Latency issues accessing Deem through Single Sign-On (SSO)

Issue:Customers reported slow page load times and overall latency when accessing the Deem site through SSO. The root cause was identified and this issue has been resolved.

Hotel rooms incorrectly displaying as sold out

Issue:Customers reported when selecting a hotel room from the search results page incorrect messages were displaying with the following message:  "Selected room no longer available. Please select a different room."  This issue has been resolved and the message will only display in the event a hotel room is sold out.

Hotel membership issue on Deem Mobile App bookings

Issue: Hotel frequent guest numbers were not being added to bookings completed on the Deem Mobile App.  This issue has now been resolved.

Airline carriers filter not displaying selected checkbox

Issue: The Airlines filter on the airfare search results page was incorrectly displaying carriers selected by the user. With selection of more than one carrier, although all carriers would be included in the results, only the first carrier selected was being displayed as checked. This issue has been resolved and all applicable carriers will display the checkbox as selected.

Pre-trip approval notification recipient issue

Issue:A mismatch between the auto-cancelled and pre-trip approver configurations was causing the incorrect person to be included as the email notification recipient. This issue has been resolved.

Delegate reservations associated with incorrect traveler

Issue: In some cases, the complete list of user delegates was not being processed and reservations were assigned to an incorrect traveler. This issue has been resolved.
