Uber for Business and Deem

 

Welcome to the Uber for Business and Deem. Uber for Business and Deem gives travelers a way to search for and request a ride in advance or on demand directly from Deem, while providing reminders 24 hours before a trip to make sure you don’t forget to schedule a ride.

Q. What is Deem? 

A. Deem, powered by Deem, is an online booking solution our company uses to book air, hotel, and ground transportation.

Q. How do I sign up for an Uber account?

A. For admins: signing up. To connect your Uber for Business account to Deem, click here.

For riders: accepting a business account invitation and using Uber for Business as an employee

Q. How can I create an Uber for Business profile?

Q. What should we expect to see in future releases? 

A. In future releases, travelers will be able to: 

  • Schedule Uber for airport pickup in Deem

Q. What’s the difference between reserving an Uber in advance and booking Uber on-demand? 

A. Uber Reserved Rides allows you to reserve rides at least 2 hours in advance. Uber Reserve rides will arrive before the arranged time, wait up to 15 minutes, and come with a $50 Uber Reserve Guarantee1. For Uber Reserve at airports, your driver will wait up to 60 minutes from when you land at no additional charge.

Uber On-Demand allows you to request an Uber at the time you need a ride. 

1Uber Black and Black SUV reservations made at least 2 hours in advance are backed by an on-time pickup guarantee. If your ride is late, defined as greater than 5 minutes past the scheduled pickup time, or if the driver does not show up, Uber will give you up to $50 in Uber Cash. You can receive a maximum of 3 credits within 30 days. Uber doesn’t guarantee that a driver will accept your ride request. Your ride is confirmed once you receive your driver details.

Q. What should I know about booking a ride if I have multiple profiles and cards with Uber?

A. Switching between personal and business ride profiles

Q. How can I update my scheduled Uber information? 

A. You can cancel your Uber ride in Deem:

  1. Open the Deem app

  2. View upcoming trips

  3. Select the Uber ride

  4. Tap Cancel

If it’s an Uber Reserve ride, you can cancel up to 60 minutes before the ride is scheduled without any charge. Normal cancellation fees apply if you cancel within 60 mins of your ride pickup time. Learn more

Q. Will I be able to see my Uber booking in Deem? 

A. Yes, Uber reservations will be added to your Deem itinerary for one consolidated view of your entire trip. 

Q. Will Deem track flight and luggage delays and update my pickup time with Uber?

A. At this time, Uber for Business with Deem is available only for airport drop-offs. In future releases, Deem will support airport pickups. We will provide more details about airport pickups as we get closer to future releases.

Q. Will Uber charge me wait fees if I’m running late to meet with my driver? 

A. Be prepared to meet with your driver at the start of your pickup time. Click here for more information about Uber’s wait time fees. 

Q. Will Deem display instructions to help guide travelers to the pickup location at airports? 

A. At this time, travelers can schedule airport drop-offs only, not airport pick-ups. In future releases, Deem will support airport pickups. We will provide more details about airport pickups as we get closer to future releases.

Q. Do I need to have an Uber for Business account? 

A. Yes, you will need an Uber for Business account to use the Uber for Business and Deem feature.

Q. Will I get an Deem email notification to book Uber for ALL of my Deem trips?

A. No, only for trips that meet these criteria: 

  • Booked on or after the Uber for Business and Deem feature start date

  • Domestic (US) trip 

  • Car rental and car service has not been booked for eligible segments 

A. The link will only work on mobile. When you are on your mobile device, the link will open the Deem mobile app. 

Q. What if I booked a trip and did not receive the email notification to book Uber? 

A. Please check if your trip meets the following criteria:

  • Booked on or after the Uber for Business and Deem feature start date

  • Domestic (US) trip 

  • Car rental and car service has not been booked for eligible segments 

Q. Do we get special discounts with Uber? 

A. No, we do not have any discounts with Uber.

Q. Do we have a policy on what type of Uber we can book?

A. Please contact your travel manager for more information on what type of Uber you can book. Deem will honor any travel policies configured in the Uber for Business dashboard.

Q. I have a company virtual card, can I connect that card to my Uber account? 

A. Your payment cards are configured directly in the Uber app. Any payment cards allowed by Uber will be supported by our program, including virtual cards.

Q. Will these transactions sync to our itinerary (PNR)?  

A. No, these transactions will not sync to traveler PNRs. However, travelers will see Uber booking details in Deem.

Q. I have an Uber Voucher...what is that and will it apply with Deem?

A. Uber vouchers cannot be used for Uber for Business rides.

Q. I have an Uber Gift Card...will it apply with Deem? 

A. Uber Gift Cards can be used just like any other payment method for Uber for Business rides.

Q. Can I opt-out from receiving Uber emails?

A. Yes, however this will only opt you out from receiving emails from Uber. You will still receive emails from Deem.

Q. Does Uber for Business with Deem work with delegate booking?

A. Yes, travel arrangers can reserve an Uber on behalf of their delegated traveler.
