Deem Travel and Partner Dashboard "D" Release Notes

September 2, 2015

Executive Summary

Deem TMC and Direct Partners,

As we continue to enhance Deem’s end-user experience, below are the key highlights of our “D” Travel product production release.

For Your Business

Communicate better with your employees with regards to policy and supplier information while they make their travel bookings using Deem Travel’s dynamic site message feature.

New mobile enhancements continue to provide additional flexibility when managing travel and expenses, especially while on the go, and drive additional savings for your business. These include the ability to make, change and cancel travel bookings, as well as capture receipts, create and submit expense reports all from a single mobile app.

For Your Employees

During the booking process, users will benefit from receiving instant notifications of certain travel policies and supplier related information with the introduction of Dynamic Site Messaging.

When booking car service, the service provider’s phone number will now be listed within the traveler’s calendar entry. This makes it easier for the traveler to contact the operator.

Interjet B2B is now available as an additional Travel Fusion carrier for Travel, while Silvercar is also now available as an additional rental car provider. These will give users additional options when booking flights and making rental car reservations.

For Your Administrators

As part of Deem’s ongoing re-branding efforts, Rearden Commerce has been removed as an option on the Domain URL Top Level drop down list. Users must select deem.com. When using Deem to send PNRs to the GDS, REARDENCOMMERCE will now change to DEEM. Any agency with mid or back office automation that reads from remarks and/or the received field can be affected. This change will take effect in the E release (October 2015).

With the introduction of Dynamic Site Messaging, administrators can customize communication on certain travel policies or supplier related information directly to the traveler during the booking process.

Effective April 1, 2015, Deem transitioned Deem Marketplace content over to the Deem Partner Dashboard "Help" section. The Deem Partner Dashboard can be accessed at console.deem.com with the login you would have already been provided for your company/TMC. If you have any questions please contact your Deem Customer Success or Channel Sales Manager.

Best,

Your Deem Account Management Team

Re-branding Project Updates:

Using Deem When Sending PNRs to the GDS

As part of Deem’s re-branding efforts, two references to Rearden Commence need to be removed that are currently being output to GDS PNRs. Any agency with mid- or back-office automation that reads from remarks and / or the Received field has the potential to be impacted by the change. This change will be effective in the E release (early October time frame).
Here is what Deem will change:

  • The Received field
    o It currently reads REARDENCOMMERCE
o We will change this to DEEM
  • The auto-refunds feature
o The feature outputs a standard remark that currently reads: REFUNDED BY REARDEN
o We will change this to REFUNDED BY DEEM
Here is what your agency may need to change:
  • Any office automation programming referencing “Rearden” in either of the two fields (Received Field or “Refunded by”) in the online PNR
If you believe this change will affect your agency, please contact Support at Support.deem.com.

Top Level Domains for New Sites

Also as part of the re-branding project, Rearden Commerce will be removed from the Domain URL Top Level Domain list. Going forward, please select the deem.com Top Level Domain from the drop down list.
