Updates to the Carey International Reservation System


Deem and Carey International are improving your travel agent's experience by making traveler support for car service more manageable. Car service reservations booked with Carey International now support contact information for both the booker and traveler, so both parties receive reservation status notifications.

There are no changes to the booking experience and travel agents will continue to make reservations as usual. Once the reservation is completed, travel agents will receive notifications at the email address included in their profile. It’s that easy.

What is different with the new reservation system?

Currently, the Carey reservation system supports a contact name, phone number and email address for the booker/agent OR the traveler. With the updated reservation system, the agent contact information AND the traveler contact information are included on all reservations.

How will the update impact Carey customers?

If you are a travel arranger or travel agent:

  1. Unique arranger profiles are created based on the arranger email. This provides:
    1. Confirmation, modification and cancellation email delivery to the arranger
    2. Improved arranger commission reporting
    3. Trip status notifications sent to arranger email (arrangers can opt out)
    4. 24 hour pre-trip reminder for arrangers (arrangers can opt out)
    5. Arrangers can confirm trip changes, get copies of credit card receipts and manage profile settings such as communication preferences via their account at www.careyconnect.com
    6. Arrangers may be contacted via phone in the event of service issues

      Note: If a “pool” or “team” email address is stored on multiple agent profiles, the agent creating the initial profile will receive transaction emails. Subsequent agents using the pool email for their reservations will have secondary profiles created that will not send/deliver transaction emails to the pool email address. Agents with incomplete Deem App profiles will be asked to complete their profiles. This includes agent first and last name, email and day phone number.

  2. The display name for Carey in Deem booking tools and post-booking communication from Deem will be changing from Carey International to Carey International, Inc.

If you are a traveler:

  1. Unique traveler profiles are created for the traveler email. All reservations for the traveler provide:
    1. Service level and passenger preference designations to persist across reservations
    2. Consistent delivery of confirmation, modification and cancellation email delivery (previously the agent email address was sometimes used in lieu of the traveler email)
    3. Reservations available to view on the Carey mobile app
    4. Ride status SMS (if passenger mobile number is provided)
    5. 24 hour pre-trip reminder
    6. Coming soon - trip data from Carey will be available in Deem

  2. The display name for Carey in Deem booking tools and post-booking communications from Deem will be changing from Carey International to Carey International, Inc.

If you are a travel manager or car service program manager:

  1. The display name for Carey in Deem reporting (Provider Connect) will be changing from Carey International to Carey International, Inc.
    1. Reservations made prior to this transition will appear under Carey International
    2. Reservations made after this transition will appear as Carey International, Inc.
    3. A reservation made prior to this transition and modified after will be reported under Carey International, Inc. after the modification.
    4. Provider transaction reports run for a timeframe that spans the name change transition will include Carey rides listed as both Carey International and Carey International, Inc.
    5. No single reservation will be listed under both company names.

Updates noted above will be going into effect starting February 5, 2018.  Targeted communications will be sent to affected partners prior to these updates going into effect.
