About the Release Notes

The Deem release notes provide useful technical information about the latest release. For each release, the notes provide:

• A high-level description of the release, including major changes and enhancements

New Features for October 2020 (Release 2020.3.1)

Email Alerts for Duplicate Booking 

• Every 24 hours, an email notification will be sent to the Deem support team, when a duplicate booking is detected.

• Duplicate booking, in this context, is multiple record locators found for a single Trip ID.

Enhancements for October 2020 (Release 2020.3.1)

Hotel Neighborhood SafetyCheck

• Description: Neighborhood SafetyCheck assessment scores are now displayed on the hotel search page.

• Benefits: This enhancement will make it easier and faster for travelers to view the neighborhood safety assessment information, when shopping for hotels.

• Site Admin Experience: No admin experience needed.

• Internet Explorer Browser Users: The system will now be able to detect when Internet Explorer browser is used and limit access to this enhancement for Internet Explorer users.

Note: The Neighborhood SafetyCheck assessment and summary will be part of the hotel search process and can be found by selecting a hotel and navigating to the “SafetyCheck” section. Travelers will still be able to click on View Map to open the full SafetyCheck summary.

Air SafetyCheck  

• Description: New icons have been added to the Flight Results page. These icons will communicate key information related to Covid-19 safety measures.

• Benefits: This enhancement will make it easier and faster for travelers to view the Air SafetyCheck information, when shopping for flights.

• Site Admin Experience: No admin experience needed.

• Internet Explorer Browser Users: The system will now be able to detect when Internet Explorer browser is used and limit access to this enhancement for Internet Explorer users.

Note: Four new icons added; five categories covered: Masks required, Cleaning procedures for the plane, Temperature checks required, Reduced capacity and/or Blocked seats on flight.

Routehappy Enhancement for Flight Search Results 

• Description: Southwest (SDA) and TravelFusion carriers will now be included in the Compare Fare results.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to view Southwest (SDA) and TravelFusion Universal Ticketing Attributes (UTA) in the compare fares modal on the Flight Search Results page.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Internet Explorer Browser 

• Description: Internet Explorer users will now see a pop-up reminding them to update their browser to Microsoft Edge.

• Benefit: Internet Explorer users will now see a message recommending the use of a supported browser, so that they have an optimal experience on Deem Work Fource.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Note: After December 31, 2020, this warning will become a hard stop.

PNR Editor for Amadeus Users 

• Description: Support for passport, visa, and commission formats have been introduced to Amadeus users. 

• Benefit: Amadeus users will now see information in their desired format in the PNR editor.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

PNR Editor for Amadeus Users 

• Description: PNR Editor support has been added for Amadeus address field AB.

• Benefit: Amadeus users will now see information in their desired format in the PNR editor.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

One-Way Flight 

• Description: Add Air feature will now allow travelers to add a one-way flight.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to add a one-way flight to an existing hotel or car itinerary.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Bargain Finder Max (BFM) Query Updates 

• Description: We have updated the Bargain Finder Max (BFM) query to provide better results.

• Benefit: Corporate travelers will now see more appropriate results, including a greater number of non-stop options, regardless of price point.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Bug Fixes for October 2020 (Release 2020.3.1)

Airline Codes Pegasus Airlines (PC) and British Midland Regional (BM)  

• Description: We have updated the database for airline codes Pegasus Airlines (PC) and British Midland Regional (BM).

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to see airline carrier codes PC and BM.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Airline Codes Interjet (4O) and Contour Airlines (LF) have been added 

• Description: We have added airline carrier codes Interject (4O) and Contour Airlines (LF) to the system. 

• Benefit: Travelers will now see airline carrier codes 4O and LF.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

New Aircraft Type Codes

• Description: We have updated the aircraft type data to include 6 new aircraft type codes.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to see seat maps displayed correctly.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Conferma Virtual Payment Card 

• Description: When a virtual payment card is used, Conferma will now receive a notification to cancel the virtual card, when the hotel booking fails.

• Benefit: Travelers will now see Conferma Virtual Payment Card funds placed back into their Vpay fund, when a hotel payment doesn't go through.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Bargain Finder Max (BFM) Search Results 

• Description: We have improved Bargain Finder Max (BFM) search results for alternate airports in the LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) area.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to see search results for alternate airports in the LAX area.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Bargain Finder Max (BFM) Search Results 

• Description: We have enhanced Bargain Finder Max (BFM) query to return more private fares in the refundable and unrestricted fare tiers.

• Benefit: BFM travelers will now see airline discounts applied to BFM refundable and unrestricted fare tiers.

• Site Admin Experience: No Admin experience required.

Book Again Feature

• Description: We have improved the reprice logic for the Book Again feature.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to use the Book Again feature successfully.

• Site Admin Experience: Contact Deem Customer Support for assistance enabling the configuration.

Pre-Trip Approval (PTA) Process for Sabre Ancillary 

• Description: Sabre message "ET WILL RETURN PRS/BPI" has been included in the logic that will call for a secondary end transaction, causing the PNR updates to succeed when this message is received upon ET.

• Benefit: Travelers will see trips declined through the Pre-Trip Approval (PTA) process canceled appropriately.

• Site Admin Experience: Contact Deem Customer Support for assistance enabling the configuration.

Hotel Code Pegasus Hotels (XT) 

• Description: We have updated the hotel database to include hotel code Pegasus Hotels (XT).

• Benefit: Users will now see hotel code XT.

• Site Admin Experience: Contact Deem Customer Support for assistance enabling the configuration.

Unrestricted Fare Type for Flights 

• Description: We have fixed an issue that was affecting Amadeus users' ability to select unrestricted fare type when booking flights.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to book flights with an unrestricted fare type without any issues.

• Site Admin Experience: Contact Deem Customer Support for assistance enabling the configuration.

Adding Flight to an Existing Booking 

• Description: We have fixed the Add flight to an existing hotel or car itinerary feature.

• Benefit: Amadeus users will now be able to add air to an existing hotel or car itinerary.

Archived Reservation 

• Description: We have fixed the Print Itinerary feature for archived reservations.

• Benefit: Travelers will now be able to print archived reservations.
