American NDC

Need to Know

• American Airlines NDC Booking Source: Travelfusion B2B.

• Travelfusion is a low cost GDS and the pioneer of 'direct connect' content aggregation.

• Available on all GDS.

• Branded fares are not required to be configured to configure American NDC.

• If GDS is Sabre you are not required to have Bargain Finder Max enabled to configure.

• American Airline NDC credentials are required to complete the configuration if you want the ticket issued on your agency’s ticket stock (American Airline B2B).

Configurations Steps

• On the Services tab, select Travel Agency.

• Select Agency Settings.

• Select existing Agency Settings.

• Select Add Ancillary Source.

• Source Name: Provided name that best defines ancillary, such as  American - NDC.

• Source: Select Web: TRAVELfusion.

• Airline: Select one of the following.

  • American Airlines B2B (Requires Credentials).

    • You must obtain NDC Credentials to configure.

      • Please click link to obtain Credential Request Form.

    • Bookings will be ticketed by AA on the TMC ticket stock, American calls this Neutral Ticketing.

    • Bookings will appear on the TMC ARC reporting data.

      • Allows for a TMC to assist with changes, cancellations, refunds, and exchanges by contacting AA directly.

  • American Airlines

    • Bookings will be ticketed by AA (similar to other how other TF carriers work).

    • Bookings will not appear on TMC ARC reporting data.

    • TMC will not have the ability to assist with changes, cancellations, refunds or exchanges. You will need to contact the carrier directly.

• Airline Private Rate Codes:  (Not required).

• Source Override: Select the radio button to the left of one of the below options.

  • Replace Primary Source Content:

    • Search both GDS and American NDC, will show NDC unless the content for GDS is unique from that of the NDC rate.

    • Select if client prefers to book the American NCD rates when at all possible.

  • Supplement Primary Source Content:

    • Search both GDS and American NDC, will show GDS unless the content for NDC is unique from that of the GDS rate.

    • Select if client prefers to book the GDS rates when at all possible.

  • Exclude Primary Source Content:

    • Only American Airlines NDC (web fares) will be presented in flight results for American.

NOTE: When Testing use this option. Once you have tested and are confirmed web fares are displaying, you will want to switch the option to either (Replace Primary Source Content or Supplement Primary Source Content).

• Save the change to Replace or Supplement Primary Source Content and test again to ensure you are seeing results as expected.

• Would you like the system to add ancillary passive segments to your primary GDS?: Select one of the below options.

  • Yes, using Custom PNR:

    • Please open Deem Support Case, if you need assistance.

  • Yes, system generated: (Recommended).

  • No, do not add passive segments to primary GDS:

• Select Save.

Below information is only requested if you select American Airlines B2B.

Important Notice: Web Fares must be enabled, which is located under Display Configurations. If you have more than one display setting you will need to update each one separately.

• Click link for further information around Display Configurations, field to update below.

  • Enable airline web fare booking capabilities?:

    • Choose Yes to enable web fare booking. Web fares include VMI Baby, Ryan Air, and EasyJet, American Airlines B2B.

    • Choose No to not allow web fare booking.

• Once changes are completed, move to the bottom of the screen, and select Save.

• Commit changes.

Test

You will need to test to insure American NDC Web Fares are being returned

• Rate is defined web fare badge and rate to the right of the carrier and flight number indicates Main Plus.
