User impact: Deem Car Service applications will be unavailable for approximately 1 hour and intermittently available during the balance of the maintenance window. Agents should complete transactions prior to 9:00 PM Pacific Time.

Features and Enhancements:

Pick-up time field updated to type-in time entry in Red App and Deem Ground App.

  • Description: The pick-up time field is modified to support typing the pick-up time directly in the field. Agents no longer select pick-up times from a pull down menu. This update is present for all Red App and Deem Ground App customers without further configuration.
  • Benefit: This update makes it easier and faster for agents to complete the reservation detail by removing the requirement to use a mouse when setting the pick-up time.
  • Booking Agent Experience: Agent can tab into the pick-up time field, type in a time and AM or PM. The same, updated, time selection field is also found when setting flight time.

  • entry: 8        8        resolves to: 8:00 AM (default is AM)
  • entry: 930         930     resolves to: 9:30 AM (default is AM)

"Name" not required for new locations in Red App and Deem Ground App.

  • Description: The location “Name” is now optional when agents are entering a new locations. This update is present for all Red App and Deem Ground App customers without further configuration.
  • Benefit: This update makes it easier and faster for agents to complete the reservation detail by requiring one less input value.
  • Booking Agent Experience: Agents can choose to skip entering location Name when adding a new location. PNR, airports, rail stations and address book locations are not impacted.
  • Car Service Provider Experience: No change.

European rail station code support in Red App and Apollo Script

  • Description: Saturn is updated with all European rail station codes. This update is present for all Red App and Apollo Script customers without further configuration.
  • Benefit: Agents can assign European station location to reservations. Additionally, providers can give pricing with “train station” rates because rail locations are now stored as “train station” location on the reservation.
  • Booking Agent Experience: Agents entering European station codes or cities in the Rail Data, Station field will find matching European locations to select from.
  • Car Service Provider Experience: Reservations for European rail station locations will be transmitted as Location Type = Train Station.

All booking tools, updated delivery and content options for Reservation Confirmation Email

  • Description: Confirmation emails can be configured by Corporation and Provider to be delivered to the Booker and/or Traveler, and additionally configured to include Accounting Field content. Please contact Deem Support to modify email configuration.
  • Benefit: Additional delivery and content options let customers create a better experience for bookers and travelers.
  • Booking Agent Experience: No change to Agent booking experience.
  • Car Service Provider Experience: No change to Provider experience.

Car Service Address cache database cleanup

  • Description: The address cache has been rebuilt and obsolete and duplicate addresses have been removed for Red App and Deem Ground App. This update is present for all Red App and Apollo Script customers without further configuration.
  • Benefit: Address location recommendation and matching should be quicker with less redundant or irrelevant matches presented.
  • Booking Agent Experience: Agents should see more relevant location matches for their entries.
  • Car Service Provider Experience: No change to Provider experience.

Geocoded rate shop requests

  • Description: Rate shop requests sent to integrated providers via Deem’s Transponent 4.1 API now include geocoded location data. This update applies to all Deem booking tools with rate shop capability.
  • Benefit: Geocoded rate shop request allow providers to more efficiently and accurately return prices. This feature also supports rate shop with global suppliers and adding new suppliers to Deem’s network
  • Booking Agent Experience: No change to the agent booking experience
  • Car Service Provider Experience: Providers integrated with Transponent 4.1 will see rate shop requests with lat/long for each location.

Bug fixes

  • In Deem Work Fource, the flight time would sometimes display in the local booking time zone instead of the local flight time. The flight time now displays correctly.
  • In Red App, certain phone number formats were incorrectly parsed from the PNR. Additional parsing logic is added to ensure the phone number and type are correctly parsed.
  • In Red App, the HOD lookup window could enter a error-loop making it difficult to select the correct address. This is fixed by disabling “keyboard enter” in the HOD window. Agents will need to use the “Continue” button to select the hotel in the HOD lookup.
  • Updates to improve address validation.
