GDS stands for Global Distribution System, which is any of several computerized reservation systems for booking travel. The GDS emulation process described in this topic allows Deem and ETSI the necessary access to your GDS to process reservations and synchronize profiles for your agency. Follow the steps in this topic for your agency’s GDS.

Need to Know

Deem supports the following GDSs:

  • Amadeus

  • Apollo

  • Galileo / Travelport+

  • Sabre

  • Worldspan

In 1, clarify when users need to download each form - e.g., do they always need the Deem form and only sometimes the ETSI form?

in 1b, please identify the ‘attached document’ - no doc was attached to this topic except a word doc with the same content as on this page (now deleted).

In 2, specify how they submit the completed forms: Is there an online process? Mail? How long does it take?

This Process information above originally was written per below. This info was confusing and included all the text below. Some of this is internal only for Travelport and shouldn’t be seen by users. Please verify the rewrite above.

Process (original text):

  • The process to request emulation is for the agency to contact their Travelport Account Executive.

  • The Travelport Account Executive completes an internal form on the Travelport side called the API Form located on the TP-internal intranet, Homeport.

  • Once this online form is completed, it will produce a document to be signed by the agency.

  • The signed addendum is then sent to the  designated contacts mailbox, by the Travelport Account Executive.

  • Deem would never see this form.

  • This process applies to all of the TP API Products.

  • The contact would advise the Account Executive the process is completed, who would, in turn, advise the agency.

  • The agency would then communicate this completion to Deem, by opening a Deem Support Case.

Verify the Notes section above. These were originally titled Instructions but seemed more like random notes. If all or some of these are actual instructions, note what application they are to be carried out in and specific steps.

Needs SME response

Same questions as for Apollo above - verify Process and Notes section. Clarify if there are any actual instructions that must be carried out within an application.

Sabre Emulation

Prior to Sabre emulation, establish branch access so Deem can make bookings in the correct pseudo city, and open access between the booking pseudo and alternate pseudo city code.

These steps in the original table were confusing for me as to who the doer was and where the action needed to take place. Please verify the rewrite above, as it isn’t possible for TechComm to perform a technical edit of these steps.

Worldspan Emulation

You must set up Worldspan emulation at the agency level to grant access to Deem and ETSI. Set up the booking PCC first and then the profile PCC per the following instructions.
